At 7:41 UTC today, Eric Holden skippered Clipper Round the World Yacht Henri Lloyd across the line in Holland in first place on the 15th leg of the 16 leg race.In so doing, Eric has won the overall prize one full leg in advance. He will be crowned the Champion Skipper of the Clipper 2012-14 Race in London on 12 July at the end of the final leg.

This is a fantastic achievement – each leg the crew changes, emphasising the need for the skipper to turn a diverse group of individuals into a team. Eric has led his teams to ten podium finishes (5 wins, 4 2nds, 1 3rd) over the last 11 months.
